New Jerusalem Celebration

Pastors and churches from the area were invited by Bro. H.K. & Betty Thomas of New Jerusalem Baptist Church to celebrate in viewing the new sanctuary as a thank-you for those who assisted during their time of rebuilding. Many were honored for their help, which included monetary gifts for materials or to help with meals for the members of the Texas Baptist Men who came to help with construction. The afternoon of worship featured music from members of their praise group, a welcome and introduction of those attending by Bro. Brian Barkley, FBC Edmonson, a welcome by Dr. Lester B. Griffin, Director of Missions, a stirring message by Dr. Gene Meacham, retired Director of Missions, and testimony and promise of future fellowship by Bro. Will Fish, FBC Kress. The service was followed by a wonderful time of food and fellowship, provided by the ladies of the church.
