Search Committees
Sooner or later just about every church is going to find itself in the position of searching for a new pastor. The experience can be a rewarding one for the church or it can be a time of difficulty. The office of the Caprock Plains Baptist Area wants to help you make it as easy as possible. The Director of Missions will be glad to meet with your church, deacons or Search Committee to help facilitate this transition period.

Finding an interim pastor
Our office maintains a current list of men from our area who are willing to serve as Pulpit Supply or Interim Pastors. Some of these are trained as Intentional Interims. In addition, the Baptist General Convention of Texas has a very helpful website with Search Committee Helps:

Résumés
The Area Office also maintains a current list of resumes received. You are welcome to come by and browse through these or to give us a call and we will send you copies of those that might be applicable.
Prayer
The Staff of the Caprock Plains Baptist Area meet together regularly to pray for all our churches. We pray especially for our pastorless churches and for the Search Committees.
